Sleep in Traditional Luxury and Comfort

Warmington House has recently been lovingly restored to reveal its former beauty, and we have transformed the 6 bedrooms to offer the best in bed and Breakfast accommodation. All the bedrooms which have been named after the children of The Earl of Darlington who owned the house in the early 1800s, are spacious, light and airy and have been individually furnished to the highest standard.

Augusta: A large, bright and welcoming room, with a King size bed, lovely original wood flooring with a sumptuous wool rug to sink your feet into as you climb in and out of bed. And a stunning master bathroom complete with chaise longue, large bath with shower over and a selection of beautiful bath oils to help you unwind.
Caroline: Another bright and beautifully furnished double room, (we call it the “blue toile room”), with King size bed, antique furniture, and a good size en-suite shower room with power shower.
Arabella: Our only single room, situated at the back of the house and overlooking the large garden. Again with a good size en-suite shower room.
William: This is our largest bedroom, situated on the top floor at the back of the house with a lovely view down into the garden.
Vaulted ceilings with the original beams, original wood flooring, a sofa to relax and watch tv on or perhaps unwind with one of the many books we have for your enjoyment, a massive Queen size bed and a stunning en-suite shower room which has a walk in shower with drencher shower head.
Louisa: A really pretty double room on the top floor, (known as the Honeymoon suite!), kingsize bed, beautiful solid pine furniture and a gorgeous en-suite bathroom with freestanding roll top bath.(help yourself to the yummy bath oils).
Henry: Our twin room is also situated on the top floor and boasts the widest floor planks we have ever seen! A very pretty room with a lovely en-suite shower room.

The beds are made up with crisp cotton linen, all rooms have LCD flat screen tv’s, hairdryers, alarm clock radios, writing paper, and “goody boxes” filled with all the little things that you may have forgotten to bring with you such as sewing kits and bathroom accessories. There are a selection of quality magazines for your perusal, and bookcases filled with literature that you may borrow.
Each room also has a beverage tray with kettle and a selection of fine teas, fresh coffees, hot chocolate, herbal teas, biscuits and mineral water. We don’t give little plastic cartons of horrible long life milk (such a waste of packaging for one thing), so instead offer flasks of fresh milk for your room once you are settled in.
An ironing board and iron is also available for your use, and should you be travelling with small children we have a travel cot and high chair. (baby sitting can be arranged should you fancy a night out minus the children!) All of our rooms have en-suite facilities with fluffy white towels, soft waffle robes, high quality toiletries and help yourself bath oils.

Our philosophy here at Warmington House is, if you need something we haven’t thought of (hopefully not), then just ask and we will endeavour to help. Please dont hesitate to contact us here

Breakfast & Dining

Breakfast at Warmington House is served in the elegant guest lounge, or in the sheltered courtyard garden should the weather permit! All of the food is cooked to order in the morning(what you fancy the night before you may not want the following morning), and whilst you wait for it to be served help yourself to a fine selection of cereals, muesli, fresh fruits, juices and yoghurt. We provide daily newspapers and if there is a particular publication you prefer just let us know when you arrive and we will have it waiting for you when you come down for breakfast.

We try and source all of our produce locally. The sausages, bacon, and hogs pudding come from our fantastic local butchers in the town, “Heards”. Fruit, vegetables, and eggs from the towns greengrocers “A1 Fruiterers”, marmalades and jams are home made, as is the bread. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know at the time of booking and we will try and accommodate you.

When you arrive, why not relax with a delicious Cornish cream tea? Please order this at time of booking so we can have it ready for you when you arrive.

Although we do not currently offer the option of an evening meal, there are some superb places to eat within walking distance of the house(so no fighting over who has to drive home if you fancy a bottle of wine with dinner!). “Ravals” is an award winning restaurant that offers a fine selection of food, including amazing home made desserts, using locally sourced ingredients, and a great selection of wines. Alternatively, we think The Masons Arms, our local pub is a great place to get a fine pint of Cornish Ale, and the food is pretty damn good too……
